**New This Year** The swim will start with a rolling start. Athletes start the race in smaller groups at regular intervals. Instead of everyone diving into the water at once, participants enter the water in a continuous stream, based on their estimated swim finish time. Athletes will not be divided by age or gender, everyone will begin in this rolling start base on estimated finish time only. All Athletes will need to be ready at the beach for the 8:00 am start time.

The Open Water Swim race is a 1500m event. The swim corral will be located on Main Beach in front of the Boardwalk bandstand. Swimmers will start in a rolling start with all of the Olympic distance athletes, heading clockwise around the Wharf and exiting the water at Cowell Beach.

Racers receive an event T-shirt and a swim cap.
