The Sandman Triathlon is one of the longest running races in town and is in it's 36th year! It benefits Junior Guards, Lifeguard and State Park operations. 

 

The race begins at the Seacliff State Beach with an easy .75 mile ocean swim around the historic cement ship, followed by a 13 mile rolling bike course through the Aptos hills finishing with an epic 4 mile sand run on the beach (hence the name Sandman!).

Registration is available through the Santa Cruz Triathlon registration on www.active.com. Just look for the 2-for-1 deal! You must register for events separately. Once you sign up for the 2-for-1 a comp code is sent to you to via email in order to complete the Sandman registration.
