Formerly named the Santa Cruz Sentinel Triathlon, the Santa Cruz Triathlon is a non-profit event. Last year the race donated nearly $50,000 back to the Santa Cruz community! Proceeds from the event are donated to the Santa Cruz County High School athletic programs, the UC Santa Cruz Swim Program, Cabrillo College Athletics, Santa Cruz Track Club, Santa Cruz Triathlon Association and Long Marine Lab. These organizations receive donations from the race and provide volunteers on the course. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

Santa Cruz Club Championships

The club competition is back for 2013 with $1,500 in cash and prizes for triathlon clubs & teams!

We've also added two new categories for competition this year:

Corporate teams:

If you have colleagues in your company who would like to compete against other company teams, this is your chance for glory! One trophy is awarded to the winning team and all the bragging rights to go with it.

Collegiate teams:

This is for all the college triathlon teams out there. You too get to compete against each other for the winning trophy and bragging rights as well. It's a great way to get some fun competitiveness going just as the school gets under way.

Note: For these new categories, the same point system applies as for triathlon clubs & teams. Sorry, no cash prizes.

Participation Points:

Every athlete that completes the race earns 1 point for their club. Relays are ineligible to receive points.

Performance points:

Each athlete who places 1st through 6th in their Age Group earns extra performance points.
